Apply for Best Sustainable Packaging Strategy
This award will recognise the food and beverage manufacturer on the island of Ireland who can best demonstrate a clear commitment to minimising the environmental impact of their packaging.
The judges will want to know everything you do in order to minimise the environmental impact of your packaging. And we need to see evidence of an overall strategy that sets out your targets, how you plan to achieve them, what you have achieved so far, and hard statistics demonstrating year-on-year comparisons.
Entry is by a 5 A4 page submission; the judges will be looking for clear information and evidence of delivery on core objectives, paying attention to the criteria listed below.
- Strategy: Outline your overall sustainable packaging strategy, including how it was developed, its objectives, and the team that drives it.
- Commitments: Describe the measures your company has taken to date to improve the sustainability of your packaging (particularly over the past 18 months) and your future plans on this subject?
- Innovation: highlight any unique efforts or processes that have been employed by you or your suppliers with respect to packaging.
- Stakeholder involvement: How do you engage with your suppliers and key stakeholders to ensure the achievement of your objectives?
- Outcomes & Results: Summarise the outcomes of your efforts thus far. Show measurable outcomes, with comparisons to previous years where possible.
- Include any other facts or statements that you feel are relevant to support the entry.
